Ric Ocasek (Sept. 15, age 75)
Ric Ocasek, 75, was found dead in his Manhattan home on Sept. 15. He was found unconscious and unresponsive in bed at 4 p.m. and the cause of death is still unclear.
Ocasek garnered much of his success as the lead singer of rock band The Cars and as the producer of albums for artists, such as Bad Brains, Weezer, No Doubt, Bad Religion and Nada Surf. The rockstar co-founded his band in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1976, and it soon rose to fame with hit songs like “Just What I Needed,” “Good Times Roll” and “Drive.”
