There is nothing but blue skies for Zooey Deschanel, 32, who was spotted looking cheerful in a turquoise dress and royal blue cardigan while filming her FOX television show, The New Girl.

Why so happy? Deschanel took to Twitter to share the joy of catching up with mom and dad. "I got to spend time with my parents today. Words cannot express how much I love them! That means you @maryjodeschanel!" she tweeted.

Fans of the My Idiot Brother star will be happy to see her smiling, given the fact that she broke up with her husband — Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard, 35 — as recently as November.
