Zac Efron addressed his fans on Friday, thanking them for their support, for the first time since news of his stint in rehab broke.

“Hey guys! Just returned from an incredible trip to Peru with my dad and wanted to thank you all for your support these past few weeks… means the world to me. Love you guys! –Z,” Efron wrote in the photo caption.

In the photo, Efron is all smiles, posing in front of ancient ruins.

Efron reportedly sought treatment earlier this year for alcoholism and possibly cocaine addiction, but is now happily sober.

“He’s healthy, happy and not drinking. He’s taking time to focus on working,” said a source.

Efron’s reported issues with substance abuse (he has not commented) did not stop the young actor from working tirelessly last year. With a new film, Parkland set for release Friday, Oct. 4, and two other films currently scheduled for release in 2014, Efron is more popular than ever.

After Parkland, Efron will co-star in That Awkward Moment, to be released on Jan. 31, 2014, with fellow young actors Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan. And, in May’s Neighbors, Efron will star as a crazy frat boy opposite Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne.
