WWE Fires Hulk Hogan For Reported Use Of N-Word In Sex Tape

Hulk Hogan, 61, has been fired by the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment). A representative told FOX411 that the organization had ended its contract with him, after more than 30 years in wrestling at a professional level. Hogan’s lawyer told TMZ yesterday that he had only “resigned.”

“WWE terminated its contract with Terry Bollea (aka Hulk Hogan). WWE is committed to embracing and celebrating individuals from all backgrounds as demonstrated by the diversity of our employees, performers and fans worldwide,” the organization said in a statement.

Reports suggest that Hogan was fired because of his use of the n word in his sex tape that surfaced in 2012 on Gawker. Hogan reportedly used the n word during some pillow talk with Heather Clem, the woman on the tape. The wrestling star was making comments about his daughter Brooke, who is reportedly dating an African American man.

“She is making some real bad decisions now,” he allegedly said to Clem. “My daughter Brooke jumped sides on me. I spent $2-3 million on her music career, I’ve done everything like a jackass for her.” Hogan continued, “I don’t know if Brooke was f—cking the black guy’s son. I mean, I don’t have double standards. I mean, I am a racist, to a point, f—cking n———s.”

HULK HOGAN FIRED FOR USE OF N WORD

He ended his tirade saying, “If she was going to f—k some n——r”, he’d rather “have her marry an 8-foot-tall n——r worth a $100 million! Like a basketball player!” He added, “We’re all a little racist.”

In 2012, Hogan used the n word in an interview. “They’re all calling me n——r and then I started saying it and you know, I always said it but now all of a sudden I get heat when I said it,” he said at the time.

On Friday morning, there was almost no trace of Hogan remaining on the WWE’s website. He’s no longer listed on the WWE Hall of Fame page, and you can’t buy anything related to him off the WWE shop anymore.

Hulk Hogan apologized on Friday morning, releasing a statement. “Eight years ago I used offensive language during a conversation,” he told People. “It was unacceptable for me to have used that offensive language; there is no excuse for it; and I apologize for having done it.”

He also posted a mysterious tweet after the firing.

Hogan is suing Gawker Media for $100 million for invasion of privacy for publishing excerpts of the tape. The trial, which was scheduled to take place in early July in a Florida court, has been delayed. The tape won’t be shown to the press though — only the jury, judge and attorneys in the case will be allowed to see it, despite many objections from Gawker’s lawyers. No new trial date has been scheduled at the moment.
