Fans eagerly awaited Willie Nelson, a country music legend, to play his set at the Outlaw Music Festival in Charlotte, North Carolina yesterday. However, they were bitterly disappointed when the headliner threw his hat into the crowd and disappeared from the stage before singing a single song.
Live Nation issued a press release indicating Nelson canceled the concert due to an illness, even though he was just about to perform at the PNC Music Pavilion. Additionally, Live Nation tweeted later that night, telling fans to “hold on to their tickets until the new date is announced.”
In February, the 85-year-old country music star canceled several shows when he contracted the flu.
