Will and Jada Smith are reportedly not selling their sprawling 150-acre compound nestled in the mountains near Calabasas, California, worth tens of millions of dollars.
The Smiths, often plagued by rumors of infidelity and divorce, had supposedly put the property on the market for $42 million, according to a report by Realestalker. Built and designed specifically for the Hollywood power couple, the home includes a meditation lounge, private screening room, home recording studio, a retractable skylight and a free-form swimming pool.
After seven years of renovations, the elaborate compound was complete, and it was later featured in Architectural Digest in 2011. The two-year-old spread in the respected design magazine added fuel to the rumors that the couple was now looking to sell it. Both Jennifer Aniston and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine had their estates featured in Architectural Digest in the years leading up to selling.
The Smiths have also recently unloaded another property of theirs – their $20 million estate on the beaches of Hawaii. If they were looking to sell the Los Angeles property as well, it could spell a split in sight for the married couple. But a rep for the couple states that the Malibu home isn’t changing hands anytime soon.
“This is false,” the rep told New York Daily News of the reports. “Their home is not on the market.”
Talking about their dream home, Will revealed that the entire design was centered on the love between him and Jada to Architectural Digest. “The idea was no dead ends,” the actor said, speaking about the circular designs of the home. “To create an infinite cycle that represented what Jada and I hoped for our love.”
