Nicki Minaj has a new boyfriend, and she made it Instagram official over the weekend.

The “Barbie Dreams” rapper — who turned 36 on Saturday — shared a photo of herself and Kenneth Petty.

“Did you ever make it out of that town where nothing ever happens” wrote Minaj. .it’s no secret…that both of us…are running out of time…,” she added. In the photo, the singer is shown wrapping her arms and legs around Petty.

Meanwhile, it appeared that Petty also posted this photo of the pair and even made it his profile picture. Nevertheless, Minaj quickly stepped in and said that account was fake.

Minaj, who gained attention earlier this year for her feud with fellow rapper Cardi B, also shared photos of her birthday weekend getaway, which included riding a jet ski.

Not much is known about Petty, although Minaj had previously set off rumors of a romance with him after she posted an Instagram photo of her and him last month.

Some fans of Minaj have already started voicing concern about her relationship with Petty, as the 40-year-old is listed as a registered sex offender in the state of New York. He was reportedly convicted in 1995 on a first-degree attempted rape charge related to an incident from one year prior. The victim was a 16-year-old girl, whose name is not listed on the New York sex offender’s website. Petty was sentenced to 18 to 54 months in state prison, according to the database.
