Whitney Houston, who was tragically found dead in the bathtub of her Beverly Hilton suite on Saturday, has been returned home to be buried in her native New Jersey.

The Los Angeles coroner released Houston's body on Monday, at which point it was transported across country in a private jet to Newark, where Houston was born and started singing in her church choir when she was a child. Certain members of her family have also arrived in New Jersey, including Ray Watson — her brother-in-law and bodyguard — and her daughter Bobbi Kristina, according to ABC News.

Bobbi Kristina, 18, made the trip in spite of being briefly hospitalized for an emotional breakdown after learning about her mother's untimely demise, according to People. Her father Bobby Brown acknowledged the difficulties his daughter was facing. "My daughter did visit with doctors at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles," he said in a statement. "Obviously the death of her mother is affecting her; however, we will get through this tragedy as a family."

Family funeral services are expected to be held for Houston on Thursday, a source told ABC, and there has been discussion of a public memorial service at Newark's Prudential Center to follow on Friday. The Los Angeles coroner has not yet released an official cause of death.
