The first photo portrait of first lady Melania Trump has been released by the White House.

MELANIA TRUMP PORTRAIT RELEASED

In it, Trump wears a sleek black blouse, a diamond ring on either hand, and has her hair fashioned in her typical blowout. She is also giving the camera a sly half-smile and her arms are crossed.

“I am honored to serve in the role of First Lady, and look forward to working on behalf of the American people over the coming years,” she said in a statement released with the portrait.

Even in her official White House bio, Trump is praised for her glamorous looks, work in the fashion industry, and magazine cover appearances. “As a model, Melania has appeared in high profile ad campaigns and worked with some of the top photographers in the fashion industry, including Patrick Demarchelier, Helmut Newton, Arthur Elgort, Ellen Von Unwerth, Peter Arnell, Antoine Verglas and Mario Testino,” the bio reads. “She has graced the covers of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, British GQ, Ocean Drive, Avenue, In Style, and New York Magazine. Her major layouts include the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, Allure, Vogue, Self, Glamour, Vanity Fair, and Elle.”

Former first lady Michelle Obama‘s first portrait was released in roughly the same amount of time during her husband’s presidency. You can see a slideshow of various first ladies’ portraits here.

First lady Trump has kept a generally low profile for her new position. She is currently still residing in the couple’s New York City loft with their ten-year-old son Barron until he finishes school, after which she has said they will move to the White House.
