Donald Trump is being accused of retaliating against his co-founder of the social platform Truth Social for refusing to give his wife Melania Trump shares in the company. The whistleblower, Will Wilkerson, said Trump carried out the retaliatory action against Andy Litinksy, who was an executive and also a 2004 contestant on The Apprentice.
Wilkerson was allegedly fired for sharing this information with The Washington Post this week. He also filed an official whistleblower complaint with the Securities and Exchange Commission and turned documents over to them as well.
Trump’s company, Trump Media & Technology Group, is the entity that owns Truth Social, and Wilkerson had been serving as TMTG’s senior vice-president of operations before his removal. He is still collaborating with the SEC and the Southern District of New York’s investigations into this company.
Wilkerson’s whistleblower complained claimed that Trump was granted 90% of shares in Truth Social when he founded the company. And instead of parting with some of them to gift to Melania, Wilkerson said Trump asked Litinsky to give up some of his shares, which can’t have been more than 10% if Wilkerson’s figures are accurate.
A Trump Media representative referred to Wilkerson’s accusations and the report from The Post as “concocted psychodramas.”
Melania has been busy promoting her NTF collection since leaving the White House.
