Wendy Williams confirmed this week that she decided to divorce her longtime husband Kevin Hunter after she found out he had impregnated the woman he was cheating on Williams with.

The 55-year-old television host and Hunter were married for 21 years and it was reported in April that the couple had separated.

“Kevin had a major indiscretion that he will have to deal with for the rest of his life. An indiscretion that I will not deal with,” Williams said in a lengthy interview with The New York Times published on Monday. “I never thought that I would be in this position. I’m a very forgiving person, but there’s one thing that I could never be a part of, and that one thing happened.”

After being pressed about what that “one thing” was, the host of The Wendy Williams Show said “Kevin has a daughter.”

Hunter told People in an interview in April that he was “not proud” of his unfaithfulness to Williams.

“I am going through a time of self-reflection and am trying to right some wrongs,” he said. “No matter what the outcome is or what the future holds, we are still The Hunter Family and I will continue to work with and fully support my wife in this business and through any and all obstacles she may face living her new life of sobriety, while I also work on mine.”

Williams also broke off her professional ties to Hunter following the couple’s divorce. Hunter was removed as an executive producer of The Wendy Williams Show, while Williams terminated The Hunter Foundation, the non-profit she and Hunter founded in 2014.

The Wendy Williams Show will return for Season 11 on September 16.
