On Tuesday night, decorated actor Samuel L. Jackson reads the timely and hilarious sequel to Go the F–k to Sleep called Stay The F–k Home, written by Adam Mansbach and Ricardo Cortés.

Jackson skyped into Jimmy Kimmel Live for the interview. Chilling in his screening room at home in a custom t-shirt with his face on it, after deflecting Kimmel’s latest attempt to join him on his annual lavish summer vacation with Magic Johnson, Jackson dug into his timely update of author Mansbach’s four-letter lullaby. “People thought that this would be the perfect time to kind of bring that back,” Jackson said, noting that Mansbach had called him recently to discuss the sequel. Jackson proceeded to read the adult children’s book, set to a soft piano background.

Jackson began reading: “Stay the f–k at home, The Rona is spreading, this s–t is no joke. It’s no time to work or roam. The way you can fight it is simple my friends. Just stay the f–k at home,” he said. “Now, technically I’m not a doctor, but motherf–kers listen when I read a poem. So here I am, Sam f–king Jackson, imploring you to keep ya a– at home. If you want things to get back to normal, don’t panic, just use your dome. Wash your hands, stop touching your face, and stay the f–k at home.”

He continues, “Motherf–ker, it’s no time to gamble, look around you’re not at a casino. Just stay at home as if your name was Trenton Quarantino.” He concludes by thanking everyone for “doing your part to flatten the curve because that s–t is steep.”
