Watch: Justin Bieber Performs At Kanye West’s ‘Sunday Service’
Pop star Justin Bieber has been in the news lately, with his newly released album reaching the top spot on the Billboard 200 and by shaving off his much-maligned mustache. The Canadian singer is once again in the news, and it is for a musical performance that is not on his new album. Bieber, known for such songs as “What Do You Mean?” and “Sorry,” recently performed at rapper Kanye West‘s Sunday Service in Los Angeles. The singer posted a video of the performance on his Instagram page.

The short clip, which has gained more than one million likes, shows Bieber from the back wearing a bright red hoodie, which contrasted against the gray robes the musicians and choir members wore at the event, performing a gospel song, Marvin Sapp’s “Never Would Have Made It.” While performing, the singer received cheers and applause from those attending the service. Under the post, Bieber received a number of positive comments. “Good luck for all your efforts May you get what you truly deserve My good wishes are always with you my friend,” wrote one user. Another user wrote, “So glad to have u in service today. A true gift and anointing you have 🙏🏾.”
West’s Sunday Service Choir is part-religious service and part-musical concert. West, along with singer Jason White – not to be confused with Green Day‘s Jason White – began the Sunday Service back in January 2019 and has since regularly performed concerts with West. The rapper discussed the creation of the choir group on an episode of the Netflix talk show My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman. “It’s just an idea we had to open up our hearts to make music that we felt was as pure and as positive as possible and just do it for an hour every Sunday, and have something where people can just come together and feel good with their families,” said West in the interview.
