Justin Bieber has recently released a new album, Changes, but many of the singers fans are happy for a different reason the singer shaved off his mustache. Bieber, known for such songs as, “Baby,” and, “What Do You Mean?”, had been growing out the mustache for a few weeks and its presence had been contentious among many of his fans. The singer took to his Instagram page on February 17 to announce he had shaved off the controversial facial hair.

The photo shows Bieber showing off a clean upper lip and some messy hair, while text in the photo reads, “Baby face BIEB.” In the caption of the post, the pop star also wrote, “I shaved. MUSTASHIO went on holiday, but he will be back in due time.” Many users on the website had much to say about the loss of “Mustashio.” User justsul responded with an emphatic, “NOOOOOOOOO,” which garnered more than 200 likes. Pattie Mallette, Bieber’s mother, commented in response to the shaving, “Ya praise God.” Mallette’s comment gained more than seven thousand likes. Hailey Bieber, Justin’s wife since September 2018, wrote, “yeeeeeee,” followed by the heart-eyes emoji, which gained more than 25 thousand likes. Outside of a few detractors, most were relieved that the pop star decided to shave off his mustache.

Before posting however, Bieber shared a few Instagram Stories of him shaving off the mustache. Despite Stories being automatically deleted after 24 hours, some online have saved the humorous footage of the star parting ways with “Mustashio.”

In the Stories, the singer accompanied the shaving with a few songs that summed up his feelings about getting rid of the mustache. Songs included the Rolling Stones’ “Miss You,” NYSYNC’s “Gone,” and Ray Charles’s “Hit the Road Jack.”
