Ed Sheeran surprised a bride and a groom in Las Vegas with a live performance of an upcoming new song.
In an Instagram post shared by Sheeran, he performs one of his upcoming singles, “Magical,” which is due to drop on September 29, for a couple getting married at the Little White Wedding Chapel.
“Crashed a wedding, this is Magical x,” Sheeran captioned the post.
The video begins with Sheeran walking through the door, which causes the bride and groom’s mouths to drop in surprise. He then starts singing his new single with his background singers. The crowd later breaks out into applause after the end of the song.
The bride and groom are pronounced husband and wife as the two share their first kiss. Sheeran even signed as a witness to their marriage document.
Jordan Russell, the bride, commented on the post thanking Sheeran. “Thank you so much for the most magical day of our lives [crying emoji] we’ll truly never forget this or the wedding advice you gave us,” she said.
This wedding crash comes during the news that Sheeran had to reschedule his performance in Las Vegas to October 28.
In an earlier post, Sheeran explained, “I can’t believe I’m typing this but there’s been some challenges encountered during the load in of our Vegas show. It’s impossible to go forward with the show. I’m so sorry. I know everyone has traveled in for this and I wish I could change it. The gig will be postponed to Saturday, October 28th and all purchased tickets will be valid for that date,” Sheeran said.
