The Voice semi-finals aired last night and the singers are now down to the final four.

THE VOICE DOWN TO THE FINAL FOUR SINGERS

The first three singers through came as no surprise. First through to the finals was Chris Blue on Team Alicia Keys. Next was Lauren Duski of Team Blake Shelton and third was also from Team Blake, Aliyah Moulden.

Next came the instant save performances. First up was Brennley Brown of Team Gwen Stefani. She sang “Warrior” by Demi Lovato and was unusually weak in her performance. She was also handily served by Duski in their duet the night before, putting her in the danger zone.

Hunter Plake of Team Gwen was next to sing, with “Love Runs Out” by OneRepublic. In an effort to recover from the previous night’s cover, Plake took on the voice of Ryan Tedder with ease, showing off his full range. The judges agree they would like to hear him make original music in the future.

Then Jesse Larson of Team Adam Levine sang “Tennessee Whiskey” by Chris Stapleton. This was an interesting choice, given he is in this position after singing a Stapleton medley the night before. This song, however, fits him perfectly, and the fact that he was last to perform in the episode didn’t hurt either.

In the end, Larson gets the instant save. And Brown, Plake, TSoul, and Vanessa Ferguson were eliminated. Tune in next week for the finale episode, where we’ll see Team Adam’s Larson, Team Alicia’s Blue, and Team Blake’s Duski and Moulden compete for the top spot.
