It's going to be a special Valentine's Day for Olympic swimmer Matt Grevers, 26. Not only did he win the gold medal in the 100-meter backstroke at the Missouri Grand Prix on Saturday, but he took the opportunity to propose to his girlfriend, Annie Chandler, from the top spot of the victory pedestal.

Chandler, 24, a USA national swimming teammate, was handing out the medals at the competition after Grevers' victory. She placed the gold around her boyfriend's neck, and the two shared a kiss before she walked away, at which point all three top finalists were honored and applauded.

When Chandler re-approached the podium to walk away hand-in-hand with her soon-to-be fiance, however, he held her in place where he was standing and quickly dropped to one knee. Chandler caught on almost immediately, her jaw dropping to the floor and her knees almost giving out as she accepted the ring that Grevers presented her.
