Late night comedian Jay Leno has long been famous for his aversion to fruits and vegetables, but health-conscious First Lady Michelle Obama just saw that as a challenge. While appearing on Leno's Tonight Show, Mrs. Obama — who's been advocating healthy eating and exercise across the nation with her "Let's Move!" campaign — persuaded her host to chow down on apples, sweet potato fries and a pizza made with eggplant, green peppers and zucchini.

To get Leno to bite into the forbidden fruit (he once claimed he hadn't eaten an apple since 1984), Mrs. Obama nudged him to dip it in honey made from beehives in the White House garden. "It will help it go down easier," she said.

While Leno succeeded in biting the honey-coated apple, he couldn't do the same for his tongue. "White House honey? That sounds bad," he joke. "You know, with a different president that could mean a whole different thing, 'a little White House honey.'"

Mrs. Obama also discussed Republican Mitt Romney's singing voice after hearing a recording of his rendition of "America the Beautiful," which he issued to Florida voters on Monday. "It's beautiful," Mrs. Obama said. "And it is America's song, and it's a song that's meant to be sung by every American."

The First Lady, however, wouldn't rate Romney's voice over her husband's. "He does have a beautiful voice, and he sings to me all the time," she said.
