Luigi Mangione, the suspect in the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, waived his right to an extradition hearing and was flown from Pennsylvania to New York on Thursday, Dec. 19, to face federal charges.

Footage posted by the New York City Mayor’s Office shows Mangione leaving a helicopter flanked by armed police in downtown Manhattan on Thursday afternoon.

Mangione, 26, faces federal charges, including murder using a firearm, for which the death penalty is among the potential punishments, reports said.
