Singer Kelsie Watts answered even more uInterview fan questions about her experience as a singer.

One fan asked, “What is the dream cover that you haven’t already done?”

Watts responded, “I think the dream cover I would love to try—I get a lot of requests for ‘And I’m Telling You,’ and I have yet to attempt that song because it’s so big and I just, nine times out of ten, full transparency when I do the coverage in my kitchen, they’re very on-the-fly. I don’t spend a lot of time warming up, warming down and that is one of those songs that really requires a lot. You have to practice that, it’s not just an on-the-fly song, so I would say that is one that I would love to actually attempt and work on.”

Another fan wondered if Watts planned on releasing any Christian music.

“You know, crazy enough – So I’m a preacher’s kid, grew up in the church, and honestly, loved it. I’m really really blessed to have the parents that I do, they’re incredible. And I always thought about doing CCM music, and I tried it for a little bit and it just wasn’t for me…nothing wrong with it, but I feel like certain people are called to certain parts of the industry, and certain genres, and it just wasn’t mine.”

One question asked Watts, “How would you describe your experience being on The Voice?”

Watts reflected, “I would say The Voice was a lot of fun. I met some really really cool people, It was a great experience, especially because I was on the Covid season, so there was no studio audience, it was just you and the coaches, and I lived in the Burbank Marriott for like, three months–”

Watt’s last question asked what advice she would give to her teenage self.

Watts admitted, “I was always – and still sometimes am – very insecure. Self-doubt, massive body dysmorphia issues to where you’re just…really you’re just judging yourself harsher than everyone else is. I would say ‘Stop trying to fit in and just be yourself. Stop trying to do what you think everyone else wants and just sing. Just sing. And the rest will come along with it.'”
