Actress Katrina Bowden recalled her most-embarrassing moment on 30 Rock in her new uInterview.

The 2006-2013 half-hour comedy 30 Rock, inspired by the behind-the-scenes antics at Saturday Night Live, revolves around Liz Lemon, the head writer for a live sketch comedy series in New York City.

One of her favorite memories from her time on the show was also her most embarrassing. “I remember in one of the earlier seasons,” she told uinterview founder Erik Meers, “there was a scene where they were filming in Kenneth’s apartment for the first time. Jack McBrayer took me around the set because he had to bring some personal family photos. They had to decorate it and everything, and he wanted us to see. I was so much younger than everybody on that cast; I think I was 18 at the time, or maybe 19, and I knew he had had these family pictures that were put in the apartment set. So I picked up a photograph, and I said, ‘Oh, are these your aunts?’ And he looked at me and he goes, ‘Katrina, those are the Golden Girls.’ And I was like, ‘Oh. Mmmmmm.'”

Bowden also reflected on working with showrunner and star Tina Fey. “I had this really weird experience in New York City with David Blaine on the street,” she recalled. “I came in and told everyone the next day, and Tina was like, ‘Is it okay if I write something like this into the show?’ And so there was a whole storyline about Jenna dating David Blaine.”

The episode to which Bowden is referring is the 18th episode of the sixth season, entitled “Murphy Brown Lied To Us.”

Bowden recently acted in the 2024 movie Dead Wrong, which follows a narcissistic protagonist on a get-rich-quick scheme. It can now be streamed on Apple TV or Amazon Prime.
