The Big Door Prize, which premiered at the South By Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas, follows the story of a mysterious machine that appears in a small town grocery store that predicts the destiny of anyone who uses it. In the show, Chris O’Dowd stars as Dusty.

In an exclusive interview with uInterview, O’Dowd discussed his favorite memory from shooting the show.

“Being stuck on the top of a Ferris wheel during a rain storm or storm coming,” he said. “Couldn’t get the thing to work, but it’s precarious being anywhere where you’re unfamiliar, and I think that’s kind of what the show is about. We were doing a long scene, I think it was old. It was old, and much like myself, when getting stuck we couldn’t get it to move quickly at all.”

O’Dowd also revealed his secret talent.

“I’m a great dog groomer, I like to take extra care of my dogs. I make it very sexual, light a candle, get the rose oil, rub it into their back and their bellies. Bring me your dog.”

The Big Door Prize will soon be available for streaming on Apple TV+.
