Vanessa Williams Lands On Wisteria Lane

When one door closes, another opens, and for Vanessa Williams, it looks like she’ll be moving into Wisteria Lane this summer.

Williams, whose last show Ugly Betty was recently canceled, will be bringing the drama to the set of Desperate Housewives in the fall season. The actress, who is best known for her villainous roles, will serve as an interesting replacement to original housewife, Nicollette Sheridan, whose character, Edie, was killed off this season. Sheridan later filed suit against show creator Marc Cherry, claiming on-set abuse. –ELENA COX
