US Airways have found themselves in hot water after a very inappropriate photo was tweeted from their official account in response to a customer’s unhappy Twitter review.
It began around 3 p.m. ET on Monday, April 14, when Alex (@ThatKATZkat) wrote to US Airways on Twitter to complain about her delayed flight, writing, “You ruined my spring break.”

Elle (@ellerafter) also received the photo after writing multiple tweets complaining about her flight delays. The photo was attached to this response from the airline: “We welcome feedback, Elle. If your travel is complete, you can detail it here for review and follow-up.”
US Airways deleted the offending tweets and issued an apology on Twitter, saying that they are investigating the mistake.
According to Buzzfeed, the photo was originally tweeted to American Airlines earlier Monday morning and originates from a “German revenge porn site.”
While the scandal will, no doubt, be bad for US Airways, the internet is rejoicing, with #USAirways taking over Twitter, where jokes about the gaffe are running wild.
