US Airways have found themselves in hot water after a very inappropriate photo was tweeted from their official account in response to a customer’s unhappy Twitter review.

It began around 3 p.m. ET on Monday, April 14, when Alex (@ThatKATZkat) wrote to US Airways on Twitter to complain about her delayed flight, writing, “You ruined my spring break.”

According to her Twitter feed, Alex had been stuck at the airport for two days after her first and second flights were delayed. She communicated with the US Airways Twitter account on Sunday expressing her frustration and had a short back and forth with the airline’s Twitter account.

On Monday, when Alex tweeted again, she received this response: “@thatkatzkat We don’t like to hear this, Alex. Please provide feedback to our Customer Relations team here.” Attached to the message was an inappropriate photograph involving a naked woman and a toy model airplane.

US Airways quickly deleted the tweet, and what is above is a censored screen-capture of the original message. You can look at an uncensored version here, in a response to a different disgruntled customer, Elle (@ellerafter).

Elle (@ellerafter) also received the photo after writing multiple tweets complaining about her flight delays. The photo was attached to this response from the airline: “We welcome feedback, Elle. If your travel is complete, you can detail it here for review and follow-up.”

US Airways Apologizes

US Airways deleted the offending tweets and issued an apology on Twitter, saying that they are investigating the mistake.

According to Buzzfeed, the photo was originally tweeted to American Airlines earlier Monday morning and originates from a “German revenge porn site.”

#USAirways Trending On Twitter

While the scandal will, no doubt, be bad for US Airways, the internet is rejoicing, with #USAirways taking over Twitter, where jokes about the gaffe are running wild.
