Tyrese Gibson has called out Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson for delaying production of the next Fast and the Furious movie.
TYRSES GIBSON CALLS OUT DWAYNE JOHNSON
Universal announced a one-year delay in the making of the next film in the successful franchise, and now the finger-pointing has begun. On Wednesday, Gibson, who plays comic-relief character Roman, called out Johnson on Instagram.
“#PSA Congratulations to @TheRock and your brother in law aka 7 bucks producing partner @hhgarcia41 for making the fast and the furious franchise about YOU,” Gibson said. “And like you, DJ even if they call I will not be deleting this post – Gn folks see you in 2020 April #FastFamily right? Nah….. it’s about #TeamDewayne #3yrs will it be worth the wait? #NoShaw just Hobbs will this be another #BayWatch? Guys guys just relax I’m just a passionate film critic.”
The Rock has yet to respond. This is not the first time Fast castmates have feuded. Johnson previously called out his male co-stars while filming The Fate of the Furious for being unprofessional, and it was thought he was referring to Vin Diesel. It got so bad that the men wouldn’t do press together prior to the movie’s release. And if you take a close look, the two never appear in the same shot in the film.
The ninth installment in the Fast and the Furious franchise is now set for an April 2020 release date.
