Two Americans Mysteriously Found Dead At Luxury Hotel In Mexico

On Tuesday night, police found two Americans dead in their hotel room in Mexico. They were staying in a luxury room on the Baja California peninsula at the Hotel Rancho Pescadero, which is owned by Hyatt.

According to the Baja California Sur Attorney General’s Office, the bodies were identified as one male, John Heathco who was 41, and one female, Abby Lutz who was 22. The only information the local police released was that they were both in their mid-30s.

The police were first called after the Americans were found unconscious in their room. When the first responders arrived they announced them dead.

It is believed that the cause of death was from gas inhalation and that they died around 10 or 11 hours before police found them. More details have not been released due to concerns over privacy.

An investigation is currently underway.

This is not the first time Americans have died from gas inhalation in Mexico. A similar case occurred just last year when three Americans were found dead in Mexico. The three friends were staying in Airbnb when they died from gas inhalation. One of the victim’s sisters revealed that it was due to a water heater that was not properly installed, which resulted in carbon monoxide poisoning.

IN MEMORIAM 2022: 100 GREAT CELEBRITIES WHO DIED IN 2022

In 2018 in Tulum, an American couple and their kids were killed because of an issue with a water heater that resulted in a gas leak.

Once again in 2010 in Playa del Carmen, a gas line was not properly installed which resulted in an explosion. It killed two Mexicans and five Canadians. The gas line was for a heated pool, but because it wasn’t properly installed, gas started to leak which probably got ignited by an electrical outlet, causing the explosion.
