Trump’s 71 Truth Social Posts On Easter Sunday Attacking Enemies Spark Backlash

Former President Donald Trump is facing backlash on social media for spending Easter Sunday attacking his rivals in 71 posts on Truth Social.

On March 31, Trump criticized his political enemies and shared press coverage about him on Truth Social.

His Truth Social feed on Sunday included derogatory material regarding Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-Wisconsin), who is scheduled to retire from the House in April.

In another post, he shared an article criticizing President Joe Biden‘s economic policies and also shared polls suggesting that he will win the 2024 presidential election.

In another, he attacked the two main figures involved in his civil fraud trial.

“Judge [Arthur] Engoron and [New York Attorney General] Letitia James should be forced to explain why he ruled that Mar-a-Lago was worth $18,000,000 when, in fact, it is worth from 50 to 100 times that amount,” the former president wrote in a post. “How did the Attorney General of the State of New York force this Corrupt Judge to do that in order to help her narrative – AND WHY?”

Trump went on to share an Easter message in capital letters. In this message, he accused his critics of election interference and raged against attempts to prosecute him.

“HAPPY EASTER TO ALL, INCLUDING CROOKED AND CORRUPT PROSECUTORS AND JUDGES THAT ARE DOING EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO INTERFERE WITH THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION OF 2024, AND PUT ME IN PRISON, INCLUDING THOSE MANY PEOPLE THAT I COMPLETELY & TOTALLY DESPISE BECAUSE THEY WANT TO DESTROY AMERICA, A NOW FAILING NATION, LIKE ‘DERANGED’ JACK SMITH, WHO IS EVIL AND ‘SICK,’ MRS. FANI ‘FAUNI’ WADE, WHO SAID SHE HARDLY KNEW THE “SPECIAL” PROSECUTOR, ONLY TO FIND THAT HE SPENT YEARS ‘LOVING’ HER, LONG BEFORE THE GEORGIA PERSECUTION OF PRESIDENT TRUMP BEGAN (AND THEREBY MAKING THE CASE AGAINST ME NULL, VOID, AND ILLEGAL!), AND LAZY ON VIOLENT CRIME ALVIN BRAGG WHO, WITH CROOKED JOE’S DOJ THUGS, UNFAIRLY WORKING IN THE D.A.’s OFFICE, ILLEGALLY INDICTED ME ON A CASE HE NEVER WANTED TO BRING AND VIRTUALLY ALL LEGAL SCHOLARS SAY IS A CASE THAT SHOULD NOT BE BROUGHT, IS BREAKING THE LAW IN DOING SO (POMERANTZ!), WAS TURNED DOWN BY ALL OTHER LAW ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITIES, AND IS NOT A CRIME. HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE,” he wrote in this post.

In response, X users have criticized the former president for his manic posting.

“So MAGA has been screaming about ‘keeping politics out of Easter’ for the past 24 hours,” Harry Sisson, a Democrat pundit, wrote on X. “BUT THEN Donald Trump posts this Easter message which is all about politics and they love it. The hypocrisy of the Republican Party knows no bounds.”

“After 71 posts of deranged hate on Easter morning, Trump finally posts his Easter message,” Ron Filipkowski, a Trump critic, stated in an X post on the same day. “A message of christian love.”

However, Trump received positive feedback from some of his supporters on Truth Social as well, with one sharing a graphic that said that they were “praying for” him and another that if the former president “doesn’t get elected, America is finished.”

President Joe Biden posted a message on X in which he wished people a Happy Easter.

“To all those gathering in churches and homes around the world today: Happy Easter,” the current president wrote on Sunday. “May God bless and keep you.”

Trump’s recent Truth Social posts have created a stir lately.

On March 25, Trump compared himself to Jesus Christ in a Truth Social post.

He posted a message he received from a supporter. The message compared his hush money and civil fraud trials to the crucifixion of Christ.

The post includes Psalm 109:3-8 and ended with, “let his days be few; and let another take his office.”

It ended with the supporter saying that he is “praying this over” Trump every day, adding that many are praying for him. He also thanked him “for taking the arrows intended for” his supporters and said that they love him.
