A new Federal Election Commission filing revealed that Donald Trump’s Save America PAC spent millions of dollars on his legal fees after the multiple indictments and increasing legal problems. It was also discovered that the PAC paid Hervé Pierre Braillard more than $108,000 for “strategy consulting” from January to June 2023.

This amount would be normal if Braillard was a political consultant, but he is not. Braillard is a French-American fashion designer who has been styling Melania Trump for years. One of his designs was her inaugural ball gown in January 2017. In the past, he has also styled Hillary Clinton, Laura Bush and Michelle Obama

This amount was highlighted by Rob Pyers, the research director of the California Target Book, who outlined the payment on Twitter.

“Incredibly, despite Trump’s cash crunch, his Save America leadership PAC shelled out another $108,000 in the first six months of the year for Melania Trump’s stylist, Herve Pierre Braillard, while insisting to the FEC that it’s for ‘strategy consulting’,” he wrote.

This is not the first time the PAC has paid for Braillard’s services. In 2022, he was paid $132,000 in several installments for what was labeled as “strategy consulting.”

Melania’s office defended these payments stating, “Mr. Pierre is a world-renowned artist. His work extends to many different fields, not just fashion design. His expertise is utilized for special projects and events.”

Since the news has come out, many people have criticized Melania and Donald’s actions. Lawyer Ron Filipkowski who is a known critic of Trump, tweeted, “Think of the 4,320 people who sent in $25 thinking they were “Saving America” not realizing it was for Melania’s hairstylist.”

Donald Trump’s legal fees have already skyrocketed in the past months due to his indictments. His super PAC has already spent more than $40 million legal fees this year alone.
