Former President Donald Trump said that he “wouldn’t protect” Prince Harry because he “betrayed the Queen. That’s unforgivable.”

Trump’s comments come amid an ongoing lawsuit in which the conservative organization the Heritage Foundation sued the Department of Homeland Security for not following proper procedures when granting Harry his visa. If Harry’s visa is deemed invalid, he could face deportation.

Trump accused the Biden administration of trying to protect the prince.

“He would be on his own if it was down to me,” said Trump in an interview with the U.K.’s Daily Express.

In 2020, Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped aside from their royal duties and moved to California.

Trump then stated his opinion that the Royal Family has been “too gracious” to Harry and his family since they decided to leave.

Last month, Harry gave his thoughts on becoming an American citizen. “American citizenship is something that’s crossed my mind, but certainly not something that’s a high priority for me right now,” he stated.

Harry’s grandmother was Queen Elizabeth II who died at 96 in 2022. He then released a book he had written, Spare, which highlights his feelings of grief after the untimely death of his mother in 1997 and savaged the royal family.
