Trump Roasted On Social Media For Selling ‘God Bless The USA Bible’ With Musician Lee Greenwood For $60

Former President Donald Trump was roasted for selling the God Bless The USA Bible with the country music singer Lee Greenwood for $60 each online.

On Monday, Trump posted a video on his Truth Social platform asking his supporters to purchase the Bibles.

The title was inspired by Greenwood’s patriotic ballad, “God Bless The USA.”

“Happy Holy Week,” the former president wrote in his Truth Social post. “Let’s Make America Pray Again. As we lead into Good Friday and Easter, I encourage you to get a copy of the God Bless the USA Bible.”

He also added a link to a website selling the book for $59.99.

“This Bible is the King James version and also includes our founding father documents – yes the constitution – which I’m fighting for every single day – very hard to keep Americans protected,” he said. “Also, the Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence, and the Pledge of Allegiance are all part of this God Bless The USA Bible.”

It also includes a handwritten chorus of “God Bless the USA.”

Trump stated that many people “have never read them and don’t know the liberties and rights” they “have as Americans and how” they “are being threatened.”

“It’s happening all the time,” the former president claimed. “It’s a very sad thing that’s going on in our country but we’re going to get it turned around.

“Religion and Christianity are the biggest things missing from this country and I truly believe that we need to bring them back and we have to bring them back fast I think it’s one of the biggest problems we have,” he declared. “That’s why our country is going haywire. We’ve lost religion in our country.”

“Religion is so important,” he stated. “It’s so missing but – but it’s going to come back and it’s going to come back strong, just like our country is going to come back strong.”

This website stated that Trump received a licensing fee for endorsing the Bibles.

“GodBlessTheUSABible.com is not owned, managed or controlled by Donald J. Trump, The Trump Organization, CIC Ventures LLC or any of their respective principals or affiliates. GodBlessTheUSABible.com uses Donald J. Trump’s name, likeness and image under paid license from CIC Ventures LLC, which license may be terminated or revoked according to its terms,” the disclaimer read.

The former president’s new sales pitch instantly outraged his political opponents.

“The last time the American people saw Donald Trump hold up a Bible it was for a photo op after he tear-gassed American citizens demonstrating against white supremacy,” Sarafina Chitika, a senior spokesperson for President Joe Biden‘s reelection campaign, said in a statement.

This isn’t Trump’s first time hawking goods online.

In December 2023, Trump announced in a video that he released a new set of NFT trading cards that will feature his face on them, even though his previous ones lost 50% of their original value.

His newest NFTs are the “MugShot” edition, as his mugshot was taken when he was arrested in Georgia on 13 charges due to his efforts to overturn the 2020 election. OpenSea recorded that the cards cost around $453.97 on the morning of December 12, 2023. On the same day, the cards dropped by $152.05, costing a total of around $301.92.

Each card is available for $99, with Trump supporters receiving a special offer. If they buy at least 47 cards in one transaction, they could win a piece of the suit he wore during the mugshot.

In early 2023, the former president’s son, Donald Trump Jr., was called out by conservatives for a video he posted, encouraging supporters to buy $70 Bibles to “save America.”

The Bible was sold on the We The People website, an affiliate of the Trump Organization, and is advertised as a “deal for the patriots who believe it is time to give America back to God.” The book also featured “copies of America’s founding documents.”

This sales pitch caused social media users to call Trump Jr. a “con man” and a “grifter” for hawking the Bible, which costs $69.99.
