Donald Trump has addressed the strange lisp in his voice during his much-discussed interview with Elon Musk.

The interview, which took place on Monday, had been marred by technical glitches and a reported “massive” cyber attack, according to Musk.

Trump addressed the comments about his apparent lisp on his Truth Social account, and acknowledged that his “voice was, in certain areas, somewhat different and strange” due to “the complexity of modern-day equipment, and cellphone technology.”

However, the recording of the interview did not appear to be significantly different from the original version, and a lisp was still evident in Trump’s speech on certain words.

Political presentation coaches have gone online to suggest that Trump may been affecting a “best friend” tone win favor with Musk.

In the two-hour interview, Trump did not hold back his criticisms of his political rivals, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, as he declared Biden to be the “worst president in history” and claimed that the current administration had angered Americans and damaged the economy.

In regard to Harris, Trump speculated of her cover on Time Magazine, “She looked very much like our great first lady, Melania…[Melania] didn’t look like Kamala but of course, she’s a beautiful woman, so we’ll leave it at that.”

Trump continued to touch on a range of other topics, which included the moment he was shot at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania last month, the war in Ukraine, his diplomatic relationships with global despots, and his immigration policies. He discussed the state of the economy under his presidency before Covid hit. “I never got the credit I deserved,” he said. “We had the best economy, ever, maybe, in the world.”
