On Tuesday night, former President Donald Trump attacked former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley after beating her at the New Hampshire President Republican Primary during his victory speech, an interview, and even on social media.

“Well I want to thank everybody. This is a fantastic state. This is a great, great state. You know, we won New Hampshire three times now,” Trump said. “Three. We win it every time. We win the primary. We win the generals. We’ve won it, and it’s a very, very special place to me. It’s very important.”

Trump has lost New Hampshire in the last two general elections – to Joe Biden in 2020 and Hillary Clinton in 2016.

“If you remember in 2016, we came here and we needed that win and we won by 21 points, and it was great,” he recalled.

“And today, I have to tell you, it was very interesting, because I said, ‘Wow, what a great victory,'” the former president added. “But then somebody [Haley] ran up to the stage all dressed up nicely when [the race] was at seven [percent lead], but now I just walked up, and it said 14 [percent]. But she ran up when it was seven, and, you know, we have to do what’s good for our party.”

Trump even attacked Haley’s dress, calling it “not a very fancy dress.”

“And she was up and I said, ‘Wow, she’s doing – like a speech – like she won,'” Trump said. “She didn’t win, she lost, and you know, last week, we had a little bit of a problem, and if you remember Ron [DeSantis] was really upset because she ran up and she pretended she won Iowa. And I looked around and I said, ‘Didn’t she come in third? Yeah, she came in third.'”

“And then I looked at the polls, she was talking about ‘most winnability,’ who’s going to win, and I had one put up – I don’t know if you see it but I have one put up – we’ve won almost every single poll in the last three months against crooked Joe Biden – almost every poll,” he stated. “And she doesn’t win those polls. And she doesn’t win those – this is not your typical victory speech, but let’s not have somebody take when she had a very bad night. She had a very bad night.”

After the race was called, the former president stated in an interview with Fox News Digital that Haley should suspend her campaign.

“She should, because, otherwise, we have to keep wasting money instead of spending on Biden,” Trump claimed. “If she doesn’t drop out, we have to waste money instead of spending it on Biden, which is our focus.”

He even went so far as to mock her in several posts on his Truth Social page.

“DELUSIONAL,” he wrote in all caps for one post.

“SHE CAME IN THIRD LAST WEEK,” Trump stated in another post.

“A very bad night for Nikki “Birdbrain” Haley, but not as bad as last week, in Iowa, where she came in a DISTANT THIRD,” Trump also wrote. “Next week, in the Nevada Caucus, she didn’t want to play because of her bad Polling. She gets ZERO DELEGATES, I get them all. In South Carolina, I am leading by 30 to 50 points!”

Trump came in first for the New Hampshire primary with 54.5% of the votes, while Haley came in second by gaining 43.4% of the votes.

Despite the results of this primary, Haley stated that she was not going to drop out of the race.

“New Hampshire is first in the nation,” she said to her supporters. “It is not the last in the nation. This race is far from over.”

Haley made this point after the polls closed on January 23.

After Trump made his remarks, the Haley campaign targeted back at him.

“Two states have now voted in the presidential race, and Donald Trump barely received half of the vote — not exactly a ringing endorsement for a former president demanding a coronation,” Haley communications director Nachama Soloveichik stated. “His angry rant was filled with grievances and offered the American people nothing about his vision for our country’s future. This is why so many voters want to move on from Trump’s chaos and are rallying to Nikki Haley’s new generation of conservative leadership.”

However, Trump is the only candidate running in the upcoming Nevada GOP caucuses, which will decide the delegate allocation in the state. Haley instead chose to appear on the ballot in the state’s primary.

He is leading her in South Carolina. This state will hold its primary on February 24.

After Haley and DeSantis questioned Trump’s mental health, the former president claimed that he passed the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), a cognitive test known for testing dementia, at a rally on January 20.

Trump’s comments were made in response to Haley suggesting that Trump is not mentally capable of being president after he repeatedly confused her with former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi during a campaign speech on January 19.
