During an interview call with Fox Business Network on Thursday, President Donald Trump hit at some of his fiercest female competitors on the Democratic side. The president’s interview occurred at 7:30 a.m. with host Maria Bartiromo.
Trump first talked about Kamala Harris, whom Joe Biden selected to be his running mate for the upcoming 2020 election, on Tuesday. Trump described Harris as “sort of a madwoman.” He continued saying, “She was so angry, such hatred with Justice Kavanaugh. I’ve never seen anything like it. She was the angriest of the group, and they were all angry.”
Later in the interview, Trump also brought up Representative Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, a Democrat from New York. Trump said, “AOC was a poor student. I won’t say where she went to school. It doesn’t matter.” He then added, “This is not even a smart person.”
The president added that Ocasio-Cortez “goes out and yaps.”
Trump also brought up House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in the interview. He shared his belief that Republicans would take back the House in November because Pelosi is “stone-cold crazy.”
Before the president’s Thursday interview with Fox Business Network, he attacked MSNBC’s Morning Joe host Mika Brzezinski calling her a “ditzy airhead wife” of co-host and husband Joe Scarborough. Brzezinski hit back at the president and called out the trend in his attacks.
Brzezinski said of Trump on her morning show, “What’s your thing with women? You have a lot of problems with women, like you’re scared of them or something. I think the Kamala thing has you freaked out. But I’ve noticed it’s all over the place. You get really like stressed out by women.”
She continued saying, “You have to say things that are sort of triggering about women that are like back from the 1950s. You’re calling us ‘housewives’ when you talk about voters. Every time Kaitlyn Collins from CNN or Paula Reid from CBS … asks you a question, you scurry off the stage. You get scared like a little baby.”
