Spider-Man actor Tom Holland revealed that he was hit by a car 17 times for stunt work for the upcoming film based on the popular PlayStation game with the same name, Uncharted. He also claimed that the experience was “very painful, but very rewarding” and that it was a “proud moment” for him.

“The day I got hit by the car was pretty impressive,” Holland told THR. “That was a lot of fun. It was very painful, but very rewarding. It’s a pretty cool thing when someone says, ‘How was your day today?’ And I’m like, ‘Hey, I got hit by a car 17 times.’ And people are like, ‘Wait, what?’ So for me, that was a very proud moment, and I think it’s one of the best stunts in the movie. It’s really, really cool and that would have to be one of the highlights.”

Based on the movie’s trailers, it appears that the car stunt could be part of the cargo-plane scene which is the hardest action scene Holland has ever had to film. Fortunately, his role as the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s (MCU) Spider-Man prepared him for this.

Holland’s latest film, Spider-Man: No Way Home, is number six in the worldwide box office and is about to beat Avatar in the domestic box office.

Uncharted follows treasure hunters Nathan Drake (Holland) and Victor “Sully” Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) who set out to obtain Ferdinand Magellan’s fortune that was lost 500 years ago. The movie releases in theaters on February 18.
