Tom Hanks Surprised Fans At In-N-Out Burger, Buys Them Lunch
On Friday, Oscar-winning actor, Tom Hanks stopped by an In-N-Out Burger in Fontana, California, with his wife and actress Rita Wilson and paid for everyone’s lunch.
Ahead of the holidays, according to CBS Los Angeles, Hanks not only stopped to shake hands and take pictures with customers, but he also bought lunch for several customers waiting in the drive-thru.
In an Instagram photo captured by one of the fans at the In-N-Out Burger, Hanks and Wilson are seen smiling. “I had the absolute honor of meeting the one and only Tom Hanks and his beautiful wife Rita Wilson today! The coolest people I’ve ever met!” the fan wrote as the caption.
Another fan, Renee Chavez, also posted about the actor’s surprise appearance in a Facebook video.
Meghan, who is also a fan, posted a couple of photos on Instagram of Hanks and Wilson eating burgers inside the fast food restaurant.
“Tom signed In-N-Out hats and took pictures with everyone,” she told E! News. “He was genuinely nice, laughing, talking with everyone and taking selfies! He wished us a Merry Christmas on his way out.”
This year Hanks hasn’t had any movie releases, but next year he is expected to have several, including Toy Story 4, which will hit theaters in June. He will also star in Greyhound, which he scripted based on C.S. Forester’s novel and he has signed on a role as Geppetto in a new version of Pinocchio and Fred Rogers in a still-untitled biopic about the Mister Rogers Neighborhood star.
