Tom Hanks’ Son, Chet, Says He’d ‘Absolutely’ Move To Atlanta To Be Near Troubled Reality Star Kim Zolciak Amid Dating Rumors

Chet Hanks has recently spurred many romantic rumors stemming from the chemistry between him and his reality TV co-star, Kim Zolciak.

The two were on the show The Surreal Life, in which a group of celebrities is chosen to live together for a limited number of weeks. Although The Surreal Life has wrapped production, Hanks and Zolciak have both made it clear they intend to continue their friendship.

At Wednesday’s 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, Hanks reminisced about his time on the show and declared, “One of the best moments of my life was meeting Kim Zolciak.”

He continued, “We instantly got along. She’s very savvy, she’s very witty. She’s got a smart mouth. I’m drawn to people like that, like fun banter. I still keep in touch with Kim, and we just got along great.”

Hanks revealed he had joined Zolciak and her friends for dinner in Los Angeles earlier that month. He said the pair were “just friends” but shared that he would “absolutely” relocate from Nashville to Georgia to be with Zolciak.

In a recent interview, Zolciak praised her relationship with Hanks: “I think Chet is great. He’s just a great guy, and we had some very deep conversations with him.”

However, Zolciak’s relationship status is complicated as she battles her estranged husband, Kroy Biermann, for divorce. It was reported in July that the couple would appear in court to settle the matter on November 5 and 6. Biermann adopted Zolciak’s two older children from a previous relationship upon marriage, adding another layer of complexity to the case. Both Zolciak and Bierman have repeatedly called the police on each other in recent months.

Hanks has described himself as a “family man” and made it clear that he does not view Zolciak’s children as a barrier between them as a couple in any way.

The Surreal Life began to shoot in October, and Zolciak and Hanks immediately sparked rumors with their flirty banter. However, neither has officially disclosed any romance and prompted viewers to watch the show to find out. Hanks says he “can’t confirm or deny anything.” Zolciak pointedly said, “You’ll have to stay tuned, honey.”
