In 2020, Timothy Bliefnick made an appearance on Family Feud. Host Steve Harvey asked Bliefnick, “What’s your biggest mistake you made at your wedding?”

“Honey, I love you, but, ‘Said I do,'” Bliefnick responded. “Not my mistake, not my mistake — I love my wife. I’m gonna get in trouble for that, aren’t I?”

Last Friday, Bliefnick was given three life sentences in prison for murdering his wife.

In the courtroom, Judge Robert Adrian said, “You researched this murder. You planned this murder. You practiced this murder. You broke into her house, and you shot her… You did all of that while your children were upstairs at your house, lying snug in their beds.”

Before the sentencing was made, Becky Bliefnick‘s family read their statements. Becky’s mother, Bernadette, said, “When you murdered Becky, you took from your boys the person who loved them the most on Earth… Your soul is black with hate. Your heart has only love for itself. You should never be allowed to be free again.”

Becky was found dead on February 23, 2023, in the bathroom of her home where she lived with the couple’s three boys, ages 12, 10 and 6. The former couple divorced in 2021. Tim was charged with two counts of first-degree murder and home invasion.

He had shot her 14 times. He told police that Becky was killed in a break-in, but they were not convinced. During his trial in May, prosecutors said that he had searched “how to break into a window with a crowbar” and how to make a gun silencer. They claimed he attacked her after seeing another man parked outside her house on February 14.

He searched the license plate of the car and discovered that it belonged to Ted Johnson, Becky’s boyfriend. Nine days later, he returned to the home and killed her.
