Tiger Woods‘s ex-girlfriend Erica Herman has dropped the $30 million lawsuit against him, in which she was seeking damages for the golfer allegedly evicting her from his house.

In the lawsuit against Woods and his trust, which was filed in October 2022, Herman claims that Woods stated that she was allowed to live in his home for five more years after their breakup. By evicting her, he was violating the terms of their oral agreement. He supposedly “tricked” her into moving out by telling her they were going on vacation and then when she arrived at the airport, she was locked out of the home.

Herman was asking for $30 million, which is the estimated worth of how much it would cost for her to rent a beachfront property like Woods’.

In November 2022, Woods’ trust filed a motion to dismiss Herman’s case, noting that because she signed a nondisclosure agreement she had to solve “any and all disputes, claims or controversies” confidentially with Woods. They are also denying that an oral tenancy agreement was ever made.

Herman is additionally awaiting the results of an appeal she made of a judge’s order that threw out a separate lawsuit Herman filed.

This lawsuit was filed in March and Herman accused Woods of sexually harassing her and therefore invalidating the NDA. This follows the federal regulation President Joe Biden signed that states if there is any sexual harassment connected to an NDA then that agreement can be found void by a judge.

This alleged harassment occurred when Herman began working at Woods’ restaurant in Florida. She claimed that Woods “forced her to sign an NDA” and if she did not he would fire her. The couple were already dating at the time of the alleged assault, but Herman’s attorneys are arguing that “a boss imposing different work conditions on his employee because of their sexual relationship is sexual harassment.”

Herman additionally claimed that Woods sexually harassed her after he allegedly evicted her. Her lawyers stated, “The landlord made the availability of her housing conditional on her having a sexual relationship with a co-tenant.”

In response to these allegations, Woods has characterized Heman as “a jilted ex-girlfriend who wants to publicly litigate specious claims in court, rather than honor her commitment to arbitrate disputes in a confidential arbitration proceeding.”

In May, Circuit Judge Elizabeth Metzger found that Herman had not presented facts that support her claims that she was harassed. She called her accusations “vague and threadbare” and rejected Herman’s attempt to nullify the NDA, which is what Herman is currently attempting to appeal.
