Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn went public with their relationship on their respective Facebook pages on Monday, and posted photos of them together.

“This season has been great so far and I’m happy with my wins at Torrey and Doral. Something nice that’s happened off the course was meeting Lindsey Vonn,” Woods said. “Lindsey and I have been friends for some time, but over the last few months we have become very close and are now dating. We thank you for your support and for respecting our privacy. We want to continue our relationship, privately, as an ordinary couple and continue to compete as athletes.”

“I guess it wasn’t a well-kept secret but yes, I am dating Tiger Woods. Our relationship evolved from a friendship into something more over these past few months and it has made me very happy,” Vonn wrote. “I don’t plan on addressing this further as I would like to keep that part of my life between us, my family and close friends. Thank you for understanding and your continued support!”

Vonn, 28, and Woods, 37, had been rumored to be an item for the last few months – most notably earlier this year when they were spotted skiing together in Vail, Colo. And last month, Woods sent his private jet to Austria to bring Vonn back to the U.S. after she suffered her season ending injury at the Alpine world championships, further suggesting that they had become an item.

Both athletes have a divorce under their belts. Vonn finalized hers from husband and former coach Thomas Vonn in January. Woods’ divorce from Elin Nordegren, brought on by the golfer’s multiple lurid affairs, was finalized in 2010. This is the first new relationship he’s gone public with since the cheating scandal broke in 2009.
