The new trailer for The Conjuring 2 dropped over the weekend, promising a sequel that might pack more scares than the original.

The Conjuring 2 Trailer

In the second trailer for James Wan‘s The Conjuring 2, Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) sit down to learn about a new case in Enfield London. A recording plays in which a voice can be heard saying, “My name is Bill Wilkins, and I’m 72 years old.”

“Sounds confused. He senile?” asks Ed. A priest then informs him, “The voice on this tape is coming from an 11-year-old girl.”

The Warrens then head to the house where the 11-year-old girl appears to be taken over by the spirit of the 72-year-old man in question, and attempt to rid the family of the supernatural horror. However, Lorraine is tempted to abandon the project altogether. “I had a premonition of your death. The family is just a pawn. Something inhuman wants to kill you,” Lorraine tells Ed. “If we keep doing this, you are going to die.”

In voice over, she adds, “After everything we’ve seen, there isn’t much that rattles either of us anymore. But this one, this one still haunts me.”

The girl admits to Lorraine that the voice, “Feels like it’s coming from behind me, like I’m being used,” and adds, “It said it wants to hurt you.”

The Conjuring 2 hits theaters June 10.
