‘The Bachelor’ Star Colton Underwood Announces Engagement To Jordan C. Brown
Former The Bachelor Colton Underwood has officially announced his engagement to political strategist Jordan C. Brown.
Underwood, who is the first former Bachelor lead to come out as gay after appearing on the show, came out on April 14, 2021. He was first spotted with Brown in September 2021 while the pair were vacationing in Hawaii, and confirmed the relationship months later in December of the same year.
“I was struggling with my sexuality but I had such a level of fear over being gay,” Underwood, a former NFL player, admitted at the time. “Now that I’ve been out to myself for a year, it’s the healthiest and happiest I’ve ever felt. And there is nothing I would ever want to be but gay.”
Brown also posted to social media to celebrate the engagement, accompanying photo of him and underwood popping a champagne bottle with the funny and sweet caption, “The only time in my life I’m ok with wasting a bottle of champagne. I love you babe.”
Underwood had a difficult 2020 along with the obvious issues of a global pandemic. He had been trying to form a relationship with The Bachelor alum Cassie Randolph work, but they split up in May 2020, and Randolph was later awarded a temporary restraining order against him after he was allegedly caught stalking her and sending harassing text messages to her.
