Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert announced that they have been separated “for a while” following seven years of marriage.
Taylor confirmed the news on Instagram on Sunday, writing that she and Shumpert are still the “best of friends.”
“In all fairness, Iman and I are separated and have been for a while,” said the post. “To be 1000% clear, ‘infidelity’ ain’t one of the reasons for our departure. We are still the best of friends, great business partners and are one hell of a team when it comes to co-parenting our two beautiful children.”
Taylor and Shumpert were married in 2015 and have since been very committed to privacy. According to Taylor, they only decided to announce their divorce because “narratives are getting a little out of hand and it’s unfair to all parties involved.”
