Teen Mom OG Recap: Farrah Cries Over Derek, Tyler Admits To Suicide Attempt

On last night’s episode of Teen Mom OG, Farrah Abraham copes with the tragic death of her daughter’s father; Catelynn Lowell handles some high anxiety when her daughters meet for the first time; Maci Bookout fought with baby daddy, Ryan Edwards; and Amber Portwood and Matt Baier talk wedding plans.

Farrah Abraham Weeps Over Derek

Sadly, Farrah’s daughter, Sophia, doesn’t seem to coping with her father’s death. Sophia was begging for a father figure in her life and asked why Farrah’s former flame, Simon couldn’t be just that.

“Why did Simon not be my daddy? I want a daddy!” When Farrah explained that “Daddy Derek” was her father, Sophia started chanting, “I wanna die, I wanna die.”

“When you say you wanna die to see him, it really makes mommy sad,” Farrah explained to her daughter. “Do you know that it hurts mommy when you say those things because I care about you, and I love you?”

Farrah also brought her to the grave site of her father where she broke down and shared memories with Derek’s parents.

Catelynn Lowell Handles Anxiety 

Days before her wedding to her fiance, Tyler, Catelynn has a full-blown anxiety attack as her two biological daughters meet him for the first time.

“I just feel like I’m having a heart attack,” she told Tyler while crying. “I’ve been telling myself that for days, like, ‘You’re fine, you have no reasons to be anxious, what is your issue?’ I’m nervous, just like seeing my two kids together. And then only taking one home. Especially to see how much Carly loves her.”

The bride admitted she was probably feeling the pre-wedding jitters.

Tyler Admits To Attempting Suicide 

Tyler admitted to attempting suicide at the age of 12 to his father, Butch, and Catelynn’s little brother, Nick.

“I remember when I attempted suicide when I was younger, [Mom] was like, ‘You should call your dad,'” Tyler said. Nick’s reaction to Tyler was, “Wait, you’re about to commit suicide?”

Tyler reassured Nick that he wasn’t going to do it but continued, “I had to walk around school with rope burns around my neck for two weeks. Surprised I don’t have a scar. Right in the backyard of my house.”

Butch, visibly upset, had no idea his son tried to attempt suicide while he was locked up in prison.

Maci Bookout vs. Ryan Edwards

After asking for an additional night with his son, Bentley, Maci stood her ground and said no. Ryan wasn’t too pleased with her response.

“It just irritates me that she thinks that I can’t do first grade homework or get him to school. She’s an a–hole,” Ryan said, “I don’t wanna say he can’t spend the night with Billy-Bob or Joe, but if he does that, I wanna make up the days later in the week.”

But Maci wants their son on a schedule once his school starts. “He needs to be in a routine when he goes to school,” she explained.

Here Comes The Bride In October 2016

Amber and her fiance, Matt, have set the date for their wedding and it doesn’t look like everyone is too happy about it.

“I see the family a lot, but I don’t see my mom,” Amber said. “I don’t think she likes Matt… I don’t know what the f–k she’s holding on to. I love my family, but I love Matt — he is my man.”

Amber did spend some time with her mom and she seemed relaxed enough until she commented on this being her “first wedding.” Amber quickly deflated the drama by responding, “I’ve been engaged four times before — I’ve called it off. I’ve never been so sure. You know, I wouldn’t go through with it if I wasn’t sure.”
