Teddi Mellencamp’s Estranged Husband & Kids Visit Her During Emergency Brain Surgery To Remove Multiple Tumors

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave was visited by her estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave, and their three children while she received emergency brain surgery.

On Feb. 12, she shared a health update in a screenshot message posted on Instagram.

“For the last several weeks, I’ve been dealing with severe and debilitating headaches,” Teddi wrote in the message. “Yesterday, the pain was unbearable and required hospitalization.”

“After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumors on my brain, which they believe have been growing for at least 6 months,” the Bravo star noted. “Two of the tumors will be surgically removed today – The remaining smaller tumors will be dealt with via radiation at a later date.”

“I am blessed to be surrounded by my children, family, friends, doctors, nurses and surgeons who are doing everything possible to get me back into better health,” she stated. “Thank you to everybody who has reached out, and to everyone who has supported me along this journey.”

Before receiving emergency surgery on Wednesday to remove two of the larger tumors, Teddi, who is the daughter of singer John Cougar Mellencamp, had been visited by her loved ones and close friends. 

Edwin also went to the hospital to be by his estranged wife’s side. Their kids, Slate Arroyave, Cruz Arroyave and Dove Arroyave, also comforted their mother briefly before the procedure. 

Teddi’s husband also posted a short clip to his Instagram stories, captioning it, “Thank you for all the prayers and love for @teddimellencamp.”

In an image posted on his Instagram feed on Wednesday, Edwin can be seen standing next to his wife as she rested in her hospital bed.

The image also showed that he placed Teddi’s hand on the back of his neck while his hand lay on her shoulder.

“Jeremiah 17:14: Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise,” he wrote in the post’s caption.

“Lord, I lift up @teddimellencamp to You,” Edwin prayed. “You are the Great Healer, and I ask for Your healing touch upon her body. Restore her strength, renew her spirit, and let her feel Your comforting presence. Grant her peace, hope, and full recovery. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

On Thursday, Edwin shared health updates about Teddy on his Instagram story.

“So many people asking for updates,” he noted in the story’s caption. “All I will say right now is surgery went well.”

“That said, I’ve never seen @teddimellencamp in so much pain,” Edwin added. “She’s finally getting some needed rest. I know she is so grateful for the outpouring of love.”

In October 2022, Teddi revealed she was diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma and underwent surgery for it later that month.

One month later and one year later, she disclosed that her first immunotherapy treatment for melanoma was not effective, which caused her doctors to increase her dosage. Despite this, she shared that she noticed some progress.
