Taylor Swift has released her latest single from her forthcoming album Reputation.

TAYLOR SWIFT RELEASES “GORGEOUS”

The song, called “Gorgeous,” is a electro-pop love ballad, and the first song we’ve heard from Swift’s sixth studio album where she plays nice. She teased the track on Instagram the day before it came out.

The first two songs released from Reputation, “Look What You Made Me Do” and “…Ready for It?” featured a new edgier persona of Swift. The former made headlines for the amount of shade dropped in the music video.

Speculations were thrown around for weeks about the many meanings and metaphors in the piece. The bridge in the song, in which Swift’s voice answers the phone and says, “We’re sorry, but the old Taylor can’t come to the phone right now. Why? Oh. Because she’s dead.” This moment in particular gave fans a taste of what the rest of the album had to offer. “…Ready for It?” showed off the singer’s rap-singing skills, which drew comparisons to rival Kanye West‘s 2013 album Yeezus.

In “Gorgeous,” Swift drops the bad girl persona she seems to have adopted and returns to the Taylor of old. “You’ve ruined my life / by not being mine,” she sings just before the chorus. “You’re so gorgeous / I can’t say anything to your face / ‘Cause look at your face,” she compliments the subject of the song. “And I’m so furious / At you for making me feel this way / But what can I say? / You’re gorgeous.”

Swift has remained relatively quiet in the time leading up to the album’s release on Nov. 10. Aside from dropping three tracks, Swift hasn’t released a full track list or an accompanying tour. She has made it so fans can, however, guarantee early access to tour tickets once they go on sale. Swift is scheduled to appear twice during this year’s iHeartRadio Jingle Ball tour – on Dec. 1 in LA and Dec. 8 in New York City.
