Taylor Swift Is Returning To Music Streaming Services

After two and a half years without music on streaming services, Taylor Swift is returning to Spotify, Tidal, Amazon Music, and others.

TAYLOR SWIFT RETURNS TO MUSIC STREAMING SERVICES

“In celebration of 1989 selling over 10 million albums worldwide and the RIAA’s 100 million song certification announcement, Taylor wants to thank her fans by making her entire back catalog available t0 all streaming services tonight at midnight,” wrote Swift’s management team on June 8.

The singer removed all her music from streaming and made an announcement in 2014 when she condemned streaming services for not properly paying artists. “All I can say is that music is changing so quickly, and the landscape of the music industry itself is changing so quickly, that everything new, like Spotify, all feels to me a bit like a grand experiment,” she said in at the time. “I’m not willing to contribute my life’s work to an experiment that I don’t feel fairly compensates the writers, producers, artists, and creators of this music.”

Apple quickly changed its policies and struck up an exclusive deal with Swift, getting access to her album 1989 as well as an exclusive on the film made about her tour.

But now fans have access to all her older and current albums, including hits like “Shake It Off,” “You Belong With Me,” and “We Are Never Getting Back Together.”
