Taylor Swift Gives Perfect Response To Viral TikTok Video Of Eras Tour Stage Malfunction

In a fan TikTok video, Taylor Swift can be seen standing on a part of the stage that was supposed to open a trap door for her to exit and make a costume change. But after stomping her foot and registering that the door wouldn’t open, Swift did some quick thinking, sprinting toward a different door that the dancers were using to leave the stage.

The clip, which set Swift running to AWOLNATION’s song “Run,” went viral over the weekend, and Swift responded to the TikTok, writing, “Still swift af boi.”

The incident occurred during the first performance of two concerts at Cincinnati’s Paycor Stadium. This was not the only surprise of the night. The singer debuted two live acoustic versions of songs from her 2020 album, Evermore, including “Ivy” with the National’s Aaron Dessner.

She also invited opening artist Gracie Abrams to sing her song “I Miss You, I’m Sorry” after her set was skipped after the potential of dangerous weather moved the start time of Swift’s performance up by an hour.

The singer wrote on Twitter about her experience performing in Cincinnati, specifically saying her performances with Abrams and Dessner were “so special.” She then looked forward to traveling to Kansas City and dropping Speak Now (Taylor’s Version).

Swift released Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) on July 7.

In an Instagram post on May 5, the pop star wrote, “I first made Speak Now, completely self-written, between the ages of 18 and 20. The songs that came from this time in my life were marked by their brutal honesty, unfiltered diaristic confessions and wild wistfulness. I love this album because it tells a tale of growing up, flailing, flying and crashing … and living to speak about it.”

Swift has also added six new songs written during the same time period to the album.
