Taylor Lautner, 18, has come to a $40,000 settlement with an RV company after they failed to deliver a luxury trailer to the set of his upcoming movie Abduction by June 21, as reported by Us Magazine. The $300,000 trailer not only arrived late, but allegedly not in safe condition. Lautner filed suit for breach of contract on August 23.
The owner of McMahon’s RV, Brent McMahon, recently offered to settle the matter out of court — with a push-up contest. The famously buff Twilight star declined the offer, in which McMahon said if he won he would donate the money to a children’s hospital, and if Lautner won, he would give the star the $40,000.
Instead, the two parties have reached a settlement the usual way. "McMahon’s RV has agreed to settle its dispute with Taylor Lautner. McMahon’s RV will pay $40,000 to Lautner, which Lautner will donate to The Lollipop Theater Network, a children’s charity with which he has a long-standing relationship," Lautner’s attorney Robert Barta told Us. The Lollipop Theater Network works to bring movies in the theaters to children confined to hospitals for life-threatening or chronic conditions. —AMY LEE
