The South By Southwest film festival has announced its feature film lineup with their selective 139 movies. The movies range from long time to fresh faced film makers.

The movies for the festival were selected from a pool of 2,456 entries. SXSW will also announce the films to be shown in the Midnighters, Festival Favorites and Special Events categories next week along with the Short Film Program. An additional program announcement is expected on Feb. 9.

Some of the more anticipated films come from director Ti West who brings the western, In a Valley of Violence with Ethan Hawke and Richard Linklater’s Everybody Wants Some, successor of Dazed and Confused. Another awaited film is Pee-wee’s Big Holiday which is set to debut on Netflix later this year.

“I don’t know if anything is new this year except for our commitment to discovery and fresh voices. Which isn’t new, it’s a continuation,” Janet Pierson, head of SXSW Film, told The Los Angeles Times . “Every year it gets harder as there are more and more alums that we love. But in a lot of cases we opted for new voices. We’re very committed to that. It’s not easy, there’s no easy trend. Some years they jump out at me, and this year I was staring at the board trying to think of how do I answer this question when it comes up.”
